Two days is enough to fall for Sarajevo. Here is a relaxed plan that leaves room for long coffees.
Day 1 — The old city
- Morning: walk Baščaršija, the Ottoman bazaar. Find the Sebilj fountain and the coppersmiths' street.
- Midday: lunch — try ćevapi or a slow-cooked stew.
- Afternoon: the Latin Bridge and the museums along the river.
- Evening: sunset from the Yellow Fortress, then dinner in the old town.
Day 2 — Views & mountains
- Morning: ride the cable car up Trebević for the city panorama.
- Midday: coffee with a view, then the abandoned bobsled track.
- Afternoon: drive 30 minutes to Jahorina for cool mountain air.
- Evening: back in town for a final walk through the bazaar.
With a car or a private driver, Day 2 is effortless — the mountains are closer than they look.
